Oolaa

Oolaa is the stylish new multifunction 6000 square foot venue that encompasses a restaurant, lounge bar, cafe corner, and private dining area. Oolaa is a classy laid back space serving up well executed and high quality food. I came here for a friends birthday and was able to try a wide array of their dishes. Unfortunately I was too busy socializing to take a picture of each dish. Will definitely return to eat at Oolaa again!

Seared foie gras with toasted Brioche, a sunny side up egg, and red current reduction
The foie was seared very well and the quality was high. It was creamy, rich, buttery, and aromatic. The toasties were a bit too dry but the runny egg was a nice touch. The serving was very large which is great for an foie freak like me but even I got a teeny bit overwhelmed because foie is so heavy. The red current reduction was sweet and tangy and offset the heaviness of the foie a little bit.

Blue swimmer crab lasagna with creamy abalone sauce
This was a very refreshing and delicious take on your normal lasagna. The pasta was cooked perfectly and had a bite to it. The spinach had a great earthy flavor and was not over cooked. The crab meat was fresh and sweet and the creamy abalone sauce was a blanket of comfort and luxury. The dish was decadent but also not overly heavy. Delicious!
Shoestring fries with garlic aioli
The fries were so crispy and delicate! Only complaint was it was hard to gobble them up because they were all cut so tiny. Garlic aioli is always delicious (on anything really!)
