Breakfast Toasts
Every morning, I have my favorite breakfast of avocado toast and hot honey lemon water. It's such a nourishing and delicious start to my day and I always go to bed excited to eat that the next morning. I usually just sprinkle on some Himalayan pink salt and cracked black pepper on top of the avocado. I get this amazing wheatberry bread from my neighborhood bakery that has the most amazing texture and fragrant seed topping. I add half a lemon to a cup of hot water with raw honey. I love it to be piping hot but I also have to make sure that the water is not too hot or else it would ruin the honey. Recently I've also started eating toast with almond butter, banana, and coconut flakes. It is absolutely dreamy and I highly recommend eating both for breakfast for a sweet and savory combination!

Thanksgiving
My family and friends mostly did not celebrateThanksgiving in Hong Kong and it was not until college that I discovered how amazing this holiday was. I really love the whole concept of how my American friends invited me and other international students to share this holiday with their family since they knew we were far away from home. I also love the idea of "friendsgiving" where a group of friends who are unable to spend Thanksgiving with their family gather to cook a great feast together and have an amazing time. The holidays is all about being with loved ones and I've always been so lucky to be surrounded by delicious food and great company. Below are a compilation of photos of the friendsgivings that I partook in this year. A little late since I already have photos from my Christmas dinners but here you go!

Wynonna's Roast Chicken Feast
My friend W always makes the most amazing food and I am so lucky to be able to shove my face with her creations all the time. She decided to make a roast chicken feast last week and here are the results.

Avocado Toast
Avocado toast is my all time favorite breakfast meal (bacon, eggs royale, omelettes.... comes veryyyy close). I use to have it on top of this sweet corn bread from ktown but I recently discovered a mindblowingly good wheatberry bread from Silvermoon Bakery near my apartment. The bread has an assortment of seeds and grain on top of it and when paired with a perfectly ripe avocado with a sprinkle of salt and pepper... there is nothing better.
